Pre-assembled strut and coil spring unit for convenient installation. The magnetic coil strut assembly is designed for the of GM Short Wheelbase and Long Wheelbase (RWD/4WD) SUVs, as well as Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado models equipped with Z95 MagneRide. This direct replacement is engineered to restore proper factory ride height and maintain the adaptive performance expected from MagneRide systems. Arnott offers multiple ride height options for the GM K2 platform. The restores the vehicle to factory height, while the provides an additional 1 inch lift, giving drivers flexibility based on their setup and preferences. At its core, the assembly uses an OES monotube damper filled with magnetorheological fluid, a synthetic hydrocarbon oil with iron particles that respond to magnetic fields. When the electromagnetic coil is energized, the particles align to alter the viscosity of the fluid, adjusting suspension stiffness in real time for precision handling and comfort. Each strut is pre-assembled with a powder-coated coil spring, upper strut mount, bump stop, spring seat, and isolator.
